Women’s Doubles
On 7th December 2019, Thailand made history during the 30th South East Asian Games 2019 in Philippines, by winning both Gold and Silver Medals in the Women’s Doubles event. The last time Thailand won Gold in Women’s Doubles was in 1985 when K. KWANTA partnered K. CHANIDA in the 18th SAE Games in Bangkok. This time, Thailand goes one step further to claim both Gold and Silver, an achievement that Thailand has not managed before.
PARANANG Orawan and SAWETTABUT Suthasini beat KOMWONG Nanthana and SAWETTABUT Jinnipa by a margin of 3-0 (11-6, 11-2, 11-9) in the Final. As a result, Gold to the elder sister and Silver to the younger sister.
